    Zelensky Visits Wounded Ukrainian Soldiers in NYC, Thanks Them for Service and Sacrifice

    • Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited wounded Ukrainian soldiers at a Staten Island hospital during his trip to NYC for the UN General Assembly.

    • Zelensky thanked the soldiers, handed out awards, and helped one soldier stand up from his wheelchair for a photo.

    • The hospital has treated 18 Ukrainian soldiers since March. The CEO said they are honored to help however they can.

    • The soldiers are passionate about recovering so they can return to Ukraine to help their country, which inspired the staff.

    • Zelensky plans to meet with Biden and Congress to request more US assistance, and address the UN to propose strengthening territorial integrity.
