Canon Unveils Budget-Friendly 200-800mm Zoom Lens for Wildlife Photographers

Canon announced new RF 200-800mm f/6.3-9 super-telephoto zoom lens for $1,900, cheaper than the L-series 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1.

The 200-800mm lens is lighter at 4.5 lbs and focuses close from 2.62 ft at 200mm for nature/wildlife photography.

Optical image stabilization provides up to 7.5 stops correction at 200mm and 5.5 stops at 800mm.

Weather-resistant design with 17 elements in 11 groups but not an L-series lens.

Available for pre-order now, ships in December 2022 with included lens hood.
