Former Delta Pilot Charged for Allegedly Threatening to Shoot Captain Mid-Flight

A former Delta Airlines pilot was charged for allegedly threatening to shoot the captain during a flight in 2022.

Jonathan J Dunn was indicted in October for interfering with the crew of a commercial flight.

He allegedly threatened to shoot the captain multiple times if the flight was diverted for a sick passenger.

Dunn was authorized to carry a firearm by the TSA but has since been removed from their program.

Interfering with a flight crew is a felony that can carry a 20 year maximum prison sentence.
