Artist Recounts Terrifying United Flight Plunge and Near-Crash Over Halifax

Artist Tato Lovere was aboard a United Airlines flight that suddenly nosedived 28,000 feet, sparking panic among passengers who thought they would die.

Lovere texted her daughter during the plunge, telling her she loved her in case the worst happened.

The plane had to dump fuel and turn back to Newark after the captain announced a possible loss of cabin pressure.

Lovere's daughter had been tracking the flight online and saw it circling over Halifax, but United told her everything was fine.

Lovere says the terrifying incident has left her feeling anxious about future flights, constantly checking windows and cracks.
