Stoke Space Conducts Successful 15 Second Test Flight of Upper Stage Rocket Prototype

Stoke Space successfully flew its upper stage rocket prototype to about 30 feet in a 15 second test flight on Sunday.

The test demonstrated the performance of Stoke's novel oxygen-hydrogen engine design, avionics, software, and other systems.

Stoke aims to develop a fully reusable two-stage rocket capable of carrying over 1.5 tons to orbit by 2025.

The company was founded by former Blue Origin propulsion engineers who wanted to move faster than their previous employer.

Stoke has been making quick progress, going from just 2 founders to a full team and hop tests in around 3 years.
