Google Still Struggling to Fix Annoying Pixel Bug Causing Alarms and Ringtones to Randomly Change

Some Pixel models have a bug causing ringtones and alarms to randomly change without user permission, a problem first noticed in April 2022.

The issue started after a Google update and has impacted Pixel models dating back to the Pixel 5 from October 2020.

Factory resetting and setting up the phone from scratch, instead of using a backup, is the only fix some users have found.

The bug has now possibly been spotted on the new Pixel Fold after some users loaded backups from old Pixel models.

Google has yet to fully eliminate this long-running bug impacting Pixel 5 through Pixel 7 models.
