Rolling Stone Co-Founder Removed from Rock Hall Board After Controversial Remarks About Black and Female Artists

Jann Wenner, co-founder of Rolling Stone, was removed from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame board after controversial remarks.

In an interview, Wenner said Black and female artists were not "as articulate" as the white male artists he profiled in his new book.

Wenner later apologized for the remarks, but was still removed from the Hall of Fame board.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame offered no explicit reason for removing Wenner in their statement.

Wenner had co-founded both Rolling Stone magazine and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
