Massie Votes Against $14B Israel Aid, Sparking Clash With Pro-Israel Group

Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie criticized a proposed $14B aid package for Israel, saying the money would be "extracted through inflation and taxes."

Massie was criticized by pro-Israel group AIPAC for voting against a resolution defending Israel's right to defend itself and condemning Hamas.

Massie accused AIPAC of "intentionally misrepresenting" his intent and said he put "America first" in voting against foreign aid.

The aid package would fund Israel's Iron Dome and other defense systems by cutting IRS funding allocated in the Inflation Reduction Act.

The aid comes as over 9,700 have been killed in Gaza and Israel since Hamas launched attacks in October.
