Lenovo Ships Long-Awaited ThinkPad X1 Fold Folding Laptop After Delays to Refine Design

Lenovo has finally shipped the ThinkPad X1 Fold folding laptop after over a year of delays to improve durability and usability.

The X1 Fold has a 16.3" OLED foldable touchscreen and Intel processors, starting at $2,499. Higher models offer more RAM, storage, vPro CPUs.

Lenovo says extensive user testing led to design changes like improved cooling and a reinforced fabric cover.

The X1 Fold competes with similar foldable laptops from HP, LG, and ASUS in the high-end market.

Lenovo defends the delays, saying the X1 Fold pioneered the foldable laptop category and needed time to meet ThinkPad standards.
