Google Expands Life-Saving Car Crash Detection for Pixel Phones to 5 New Countries

Google has expanded Car Crash Detection to Pixel phones in 5 new countries Austria, Belgium, India, Portugal, and Switzerland.

The feature uses sensors to detect car crashes and can automatically contact emergency services. It has already helped save lives.

Support was originally listed for "Pixel 3 and later" but now only says "Pixel 4a and later", suggesting older Pixels won't get new regional support.

Car Crash Detection support is still limited by language - Hindi is not supported in India, for example.

The feature has previously been available in 15 countries before this expansion, bringing the total to 20.
