Ford Offers Up to $50K Buyouts for Select UAW Workers Nearing Retirement
- Ford offers $50,000 buyout to eligible UAW hourly workers
- Buyout available to workers with 30+ years service, 55+ years old with 10+ years service, or 65+ years old with 1+ year service
- Eligible workers must retire by Dec 1, 2024 to get buyout
- UAW and Ford reached tentative agreement on Oct 25 after strike began Sept 15
- 57,000 Ford UAW workers began ratifying 4-year deal in mid-November
- Deal includes plans for EV production and new jobs at certain plants
