Elon Musk Seeks to Avoid Testifying in SEC's Probe of His Twitter Acquisition

Elon Musk asked a judge to reject the SEC's bid to make him testify in its probe into his $44B Twitter acquisition.

Musk said the SEC probe exceeds its authority, is overly burdensome, and seeks irrelevant evidence.

Musk's lawyer called the probe "harassment" after Musk gave documents and testimony previously.

The SEC sued Musk in 2018 over Tesla tweets and in 2019 for allegedly violating that settlement.

Musk said he will ask the Supreme Court to review the legality of his SEC settlement over Tesla tweets.
