Bungie Temporarily Disables Crafted Weapons in Destiny 2 Due to Exploit Allowing Overpowered Traits

Bungie is temporarily disabling crafted weapons in Destiny 2 due to an exploit allowing players to give legendary guns exotic traits.

A server-side update rolling out in the next 24 hours will prevent players from equipping crafted weapons.

Players can still craft weapons during this time, but won't be able to equip new crafted weapons until the issue is fixed.

Bungie says crafted weapons will be re-enabled "soon after" disabling them, but no specific timeline given.

Exploiting the issue won't lead to bans, but using external tools/scripts is still bannable. Bungie aims to reset exploited weapons to default state.
