Cyberattacks on Clorox and Major Casinos Disrupt Operations, Expose Customer Data

Clorox experienced a cyberattack in August that disrupted operations and will negatively impact earnings. The attack damaged IT infrastructure and caused product shortages.

Clorox had to manually process orders at a reduced rate, leading to product availability issues. The company is still working to fully recover operations.

The cyberattack also impacted major casino companies MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment, compromising customer data.

These attacks keep happening partly due to vulnerable security software that responds after attacks rather than preventing them.
