Chandrababu Naidu broke down in tears when he was released from jail after 52 days and saw his grandson.

Being confined for a long time without activity was very difficult for the former Andhra Pradesh CM who enjoys power.

The 73-year-old appeared mentally and physically weak compared to his usual energetic self.

Naidu tried to put on a brave face for supporters but was clearly disturbed and not his normal self.

Despite not appearing physically ill, the court granted him bail believing his lawyers' claims that he was unwell.
