Tesla Not Liable for Fatal 2019 Autopilot Crash, Jury Rules

A California jury ruled that a fatal 2019 Tesla crash was not caused by a defect in the Autopilot system.

The plaintiffs alleged the Autopilot system caused the Tesla to suddenly swerve off the road into a tree.

Tesla argued driver error caused the crash, noting the driver had consumed alcohol prior.
