Lula Denounces U.S. Embargo on Cuba, Calls for Climate Investment During Visit to Havana

Lula called the U.S. embargo on Cuba "illegal" during his first trip to the island as president.

He denounced Cuba's inclusion on the U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism.

Lula said Brazil rejects unilateral coercive measures and is against the embargo.

He called for developed nations to fulfill climate investment promises made in the Paris Agreement.

Lula said developing countries don't share the same "historical debt" for global warming as rich countries.
