Activision CEO Briefed on Nintendo Switch 2 Specs, Informed Microsoft's Call of Duty Commitment Despite Later Denials

Activision CEO Bobby Kotick was briefed on Switch 2 specs by Nintendo in December 2021. The new console was expected to be more powerful, closer to PS4/Xbox One.

Kotick's briefing informed Microsoft's comments about bringing Call of Duty to future Nintendo platforms.

Microsoft announced 10-year deal to launch Call of Duty on Nintendo same day as Xbox, with full parity.

UK regulatory body questioned if Switch could technically run Call of Duty like Xbox/PlayStation.

In July 2022, Kotick claimed not to know Switch 2 specs, despite 2021 briefing. Nintendo demoed Switch 2 capabilities to developers at Gamescom 2022.
